I have posted a couple of flights from today using the BeastX MicroBeast flybarless controller on my Trex600LE FBL helicopter.
My apologies for the video quality! I played with a setting on my camcorder and it seems to have messed up the video lighting quality and sound!??!
I have tried to fix it when processing the video, but it's not great.
More videos to come!

I have had to do some fiddling around to get my Trex600 flybarless head assembly built right (I've had an issue with the headblock rocking slightly on the main shaft due to slack tolerences). I swapped out the Align headblock for my Kasama 50 flybared headblock, removed the flybar (obviously) and then fitted the standard Align spindle and grips to it, along with using some longer Avant linkage rods to make the swashlinks the right length again (to take into account the slightly taller head block). Now it's pretty solid on the main shaft and the Align 3G unit performed very nicely.
I have now fitted the BeastX Microbeast flybarless unit and gone through the setup procedure so the heli is ready to test fly.
The BeastX microbeast manual is excellent and quite detailed. The English version is still not finalised at the moment but can be downloaded from the BeastX website, but I have to say, barring a few oddities in translation (very few) it is fine, and it all makes sense currently anyway. I had a slight panic moment when it asked for servo frequency in Khz, but luckily there is a reference table in the appendices for a lot of the more common servos which made life very easy!
The setup procedure is performed over quite a few steps, but following the manual, which has a clear and detailed explanation for each step, and doing what it tells you, makes it very straight forward. I spent about 45 minutes going through the whole setup procedure from beginning to end, including removing the Align unit, fitting the BeastX unit, wiring it up, removing servo horns, going through setup and reattaching servo horns when told to do so, etc, right through to the final checks to make sure everything is working in the right direction.
I'm really looking forward to flying this unit and will be reviewing and reporting on the it in due course.
In the meantime, here's a couple of pics of the unit fitted to my heli.

Having decided to take the Align 3G off my machine (600N) until V2 is ready to go I've been trying out the Mikado V-Bar.
It took very little effort to config the V-Bar and get it dialed in. I have to say it's actually a lot nicer than the Align system all round. It feels very natural on the cyclics and the tail is much more solid and locked in. More importantly though it's not nodding at all.
I still need to make it a little more agressive on cyclic to suit my flying style, it's early days but so far looks very promising. Time will tell if being able to properly configure the Align 3G will yield similar results. The jury is still out on the Align 3G but the 'Bar' has been set very high by Mikado based on my own experiences.

One of the first videos of the New MA Furion 600E flown by Bobby Watts. This machine I understand shares a lot of the design features of the Fury 55.
