Introduction

Many new heli fliers quickly become confused setting up throttle and pitch, this is no surprise as there are a lot of variables to take into consideration and also a lot of it is down to the type of flying you will be doing. This guide is only a brief outline and general guidance of how to do it the best way to learn is to go and experiment with your own machine.

Introduction

Autorotation is a manoeuvre that should be learned fairly quickly after you start flying circuits with your Swift. The reason for this is that should anything go wrong being competent to perform an autorotation could well save you from an expensive crash. However, whilst this is the logical reason for learning to autorotate a far better reason is that it is a very satisfying flight manoeuvre once you have mastered it.

Setting up the Align ESC is not overly complicated but quite confusing if you don't know what all the beeps are about.

The following is a description in words of the setup procedure, bear with me as it is quite complex to explain.
